Betty Webster

FLORISSANT -- Betty Jean Webster, 54, died at 1:16 p.m. Jan. 23, 2003, at her home.

Born May 11, 1948, in Gray Ridge, to Liza Mae Farr Lofton of Howardville, she attended school at Gray Ridge and Howardville, graduating from Howardville High School in 1966. She worked a number of years at Nabisco and, upon retiring from the company, worked as a government contractor

In September 1966, she married Ira H. Webster who survives.

Other survivors include: one son, Ira H. Webster Jr.; four brothers, Samuel F. Lofton of Memphis, Tenn., Phillip Lofton of Copperas Cove, Texas, Jeffery Lofton of Houston and Anthony Lofton of Howardville; and three sisters, Catherine L. Towns and Patricia A. Lofton of Memphis and Liza M. Earls of Gainesville, Ga.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earnest Lofton and Gregory Lofton.

A private memorial service will be held Monday at the Lake Charles Memorial Park Cemetery in Pagedale.
