PUXICO - Three men and three women were arrested and charged with armed robbery of the Puxico State Bank Tuesday at 1:45 p.m., when an estimated $18,000 was taken.
BLOOMFIELD - Restitution of at least $28,174 in missing funds of the Stoddard County Associate Circuit Court has been urged by State Auditor Margaret Kelly. In her report following an audit, Kelly recommended court officials and the county prosecuting attorney seek the funds.

SIKESTON - "That was about one of the longest matches I've ever been involved in," said Sikeston volleyball coach Janie Merrick, after her Bulldogs dropped a 10-15, 15-6, 12-15 decision to the Orang Eagles in Sikeston's home opener Thursday night. "I really hate to drop a match like that," she said.
CHARLESTON - Tim Rolwing recently announced the opening of Rolwing Financial Company in Charleston. Farmers in the five-state region now have a new source of agricultural financing available locally. RoFinCo is now affiliated with one of the largest insurance companies in North America; the firm currently offers lower than 7.5 percent fixed interest rate on farm real estate lending.
