Born Jan. 15, 1918, in Gray Ridge, to the late Noah Hardin and Katie Bell Jines Smith, she had spent over 32 years in Michigan where she was a member of the Eastern Star. DEXTER -- Goldie Marie Jennings, 90, died Oct. 1, 2008, at the Cypress Point Care Center in Dexter.

Born Jan. 15, 1918, in Gray Ridge, to the late Noah Hardin and Katie Bell Jines Smith, she had spent over 32 years in Michigan where she was a member of the Eastern Star. In 1974, she moved back to Dexter where she attended the Second General Baptist Church.

She first married Orville Duncan who preceded her in death in 1991. She later married Earl Jennings who also preceded her in death.

Two brothers, Chester Floyd Smith and Dewey Glenn Smith; and one sister, Virginia Pruitt, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kathy Duncan of Grand Tower, Ill.; two brothers, Jerry Lee Smith of Sikeston and Charles Raymond Smith of Modesto, Calif.; one sister, Hazel Bannister of Dexter; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Kevin Eskew of Bloomfield will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
