WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. -- Sylvia Edith Watson, 93, died Oct. 17, 2008, at the West Bloomfield Nursing Center.

Born June 22, 1915, in Hollywood, Mo., to the late Fred Tull and Effie Morgan Dozier, she had lived for 66 years in Michigan where she worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" in the B-29 plant. She was of the Methodist belief.

On March 8, 1943, at Highland Park, she married Willard S. Watson who preceded her in death on June 18, 1978.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lewis Estel, Cecil Hoard and John Tull Dozier; and two sisters, Viva Wilkerson and Velma Pauline Dozier.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Anne Watson of Rochester; three daughters and a son-in-law, Margaret Kumar of Bloomfield Hills and Barbara and Tom Wratchford and Louis Watson of Sykesville, Md.; one brother, Bill Dean Dozier of St. Louis; one sister, Carolyn June Sneed of Malden, Mo.; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Her cousin, Paul Morgan, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Rock Hill cemetery near Puxico, Mo.
