Ruby Stewart

PORTAGEVILLE -- Ruby Stewart, 84, died Oct. 22, 2008, at the Portageville Nursing Center.

Born Jan. 20, 1924, at Wynn, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Matthew B. and Maggie Mae Puttle Rose.

She married Neil R. Gaddis who preceded her in death. She later married James Stewart who also preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death were one son, Neil R. "Jackie" Gaddis Jr.; one stepson, Doyne Gaddis; one infant daughter, Shirley E. Gaddis; one brother, Fred Rose; and one sister, Margaret Manspeaker.

Survivors include: two daughters, Jamie Parris of Grandin and Jeanette Harper of Portageville; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Sunday at the DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville.
