DEXTER -- Peggy Sielert, 73, died Oct. 21, 2008, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Born June 5, 1935, at Senath, daughter of the late Willie Meeks and Mary Wells Christian, she was of the Baptist belief.
On May 5, 1952, in Piggott, Ark., she married Loren Sielert who preceded her in death on May 4, 1994.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers, J.R. Christian, Jess Christian, Dean Christian, Gene Christian and John Christian; and two sisters, Loula Mae Christian and Lottie Christian.
Survivors include: three sons, Dale Sielert, David Sielert and Scott Sielert of Dexter; three brothers, Willie Meeks of St. Charles and Donnie Meeks and Charles Meeks of Alton, Ill.; two sisters, Norma James of Dexter and Eloise Roper of Walls, Miss.; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with Tim Russell officiating.
Burial followed in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
