KEOKUK, Iowa -- Berniece Cleo Davis, 88, died Oct. 19, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
Born Oct. 19, 1920, in Sikeston, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Otto and Bertha Wagner Rettig.
On Dec. 28, 1941, in Sikeston, she married Lowell Wesley Davis who survives.
Other survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Wesley and Merrilyn Davis and Lowell and Mary Davis Jr. of Keokuk, Steven and Kitty Davis of Kahoka, Mo., and Craig Davis of Coralville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Bernice and David Shuster of Rock Springs, Wyo., Janet and Bill Servinski of Wayland, Mo., and Susan and John Maddox of Keokuk; a daughter-in-law, Rose Davis of Sandusky; one brother, Harrold Rettig of Sikeston; two sisters, Willine Miller of Sikeston and Sadie James of White Hall, Ill.; and 31 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, David Davis; two brothers, Sherman Rettig and Laverne Rettig; two sisters, Dorothy Broderick and Lola Adcock; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. today at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with Wesley Davis officiating.
Entombment will be in the Burlington Memorial Park in Burlington.
