DEXTER -- Alma Lee Vandiver, 86, died Oct. 18, 2008, at the Golden Living Center.
Born Sept. 3, 1922, at Searcy, Ark., to the late Clarence and Mirtle Riddings Taylor, she was a member of the Bernie General Baptist Church and a homemaker.
On July 17, 1937, at Cardwell, she marring Roy Vandiver who preceded her in death on April 13, 2004.
She was also preceded in death by three sons, Tom Vandiver, Ronnie Vandiver and William Earl Vandiver; one brother, Lonzo Taylor; and one sister, Geraldine Craft.
Survivors include: one son, Don Vandiver of Bushnall, Ill.; four daughters, Retha Clark of Marion, Ky., Jean Balsmeier of Branson, Martha Kajdzik of Renton, Wash., and Alice Warren of Granite City, Ill.; two brothers, Milbourn Taylor of Puxico and Clarence Taylor of Salem; and 21 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted Sunday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with the Rev. Phil Warren officiating.
Burial followed in the Bernie Cemetery.
