SIKESTON - A delegation from Sikeston's sister city of Yeochon City, South Korea, had a full day ahead of them after arriving in Sikeston at about noon today. The highlight of the day was the signing of the sister city proclamation early this afternoon. Two representatives of the state of Missouri, Mark Burgess and John Irvin, were scheduled to be present for the signing.

SIKESTON - Jerry Pullen, president of Pullen Brothers Trucking Inc. in Sikeston is the 1998 recipient of a Sam Walton Business Leader Award. Pullen was nominated by the Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce for the honor.

SIKESTON - Tracy Townsend was the winner of the 19-inch Zenith television set given away by Lewis Furniture. Presenting Townsend with the television was Jack Lewis. The drawing was for the company's 62nd anniversary sale.
