Billy D. Williamson
SIKESTON -- Billy D. Williamson,76, formerly of Essex, died Oct. 30, 2008, at his home.
Born June 9, 1932, in Essex, son of the late W. J. and Mary Anna Fortner Williamson, he had lived in Essex for many years before moving to Sikeston 38 years ago. He was retired from Triangle Manufacturing in Sikeston and was of the Baptist belief.
On Sept. 26, 1953, in Dexter, he married Carol B. Uhland who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Johnna Williamson of Salem and Jeff and Vonnie Williamson of Matthews; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Johnny Rodgers and Tammy and Terry Sloan of Sikeston; two sisters, Rachael Smith of Dexter and Jean DeJournett of Essex; and 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Marion Williamson, Parvin Williamson, Marvin Williamson and his twin, Bob Williamson; and two sisters, Lorene Barker and Ruth Fulkerson.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Norman Ogles of Puxico officiating.
Burial will follow at the Triplett Cemetery near Dexter.
