Mary Winters
CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Mary Loretta Friga Winters, 67, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born May 16, 1941, in Swifton, Ark., daughter of the late Mike and Rosa Pazdera Friga, she was a member of St. Mary Cathedral. Mrs. Winters was an avid singer and sang while touring in Europe with a parish choir group for one year. Mrs. Winters was also a loyal member to her Bible study.
Survivors include: one son, Ronald K. Winters of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; one daughter, Julia T. Winters of Chaffee; three brothers, Alfred Friga of Chaffee, Tony Friga of Pomana and Ralph Friga of Cape Girardeau; and one sister, Rosalia Friga of Oran.
Mrs. Winters was previously married to Donald Winters of St. Louis.
She is also survived by six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; 24 nieces and nephews; and 40 grand nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, two brothers and two sisters.
Services were conducted at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary Cathedral.
Burial followed in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley.
Ford & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
