Rainy day accident

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety responded to a two-vehicle accident at 2:19 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of East Malone Avenue and Elm Street. According to DPS, Amos Richardson of Canalou was driving westbound on Malone Avenue when he slowed his vehicle due to traffic. Richardson's vehicle was struck in the rear by a westbound vehicle driven by Kelly Spears of Lilbourn. Richardson and a passenger in his vehicle, Nathan Dowdy of Morehouse, were taken by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center for treatement of minor injuries.
