DEERFIELD, N.H. -- Frances Olive Yost Barnes, 95, died Nov. 2, 2008, in Deerfield.

Born April 7, 1913, to the late Walter Edward and Blanche Edwina Worthley Yost, she grew up in Chicago. She had worked at the Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company and was in the Roosevelt Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. In 1941, she moved to Washington, D.C., and lived in Seat Pleasant, Md., before moving to College Park, Md., in 1952. She worked at the University of Maryland Book Store and was a member of the Hollywood Homemakers Club.

On Aug. 1, 1937, she married William Arthur "Bill" Barnes.

Survivors include: four children, William Arthur Marston Barnes III, Bonnie Olive Barnes Bennett, Garry Edward Winston Barnes and Gregory Dale Carmack Barnes; and nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.

Burial will follow at Mounds Cemetery.
