CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Kendall E. Mungle, 64, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born Nov. 15, 1944, in Charleston, son of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Reynolds) Mungle. He and Cecilia Puebla Gomez Mungle were married July 20, 2002, in Cape Girardeau...

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Kendall E. Mungle, 64, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 15, 1944, in Charleston, son of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Reynolds) Mungle.

He and Cecilia Puebla Gomez Mungle were married July 20, 2002, in Cape Girardeau.

He was a member of Cornerstone General Baptist Church in Bertrand. Mungle worked for Loyd Slinkard Painting Company and was a member of Local Painters Union 1292. He was a local musician in the band Ken and the Goldtones.

He is survived by: his wife, Cecilia Mungle of Cape Girardeau; one son, Brian Mungle of Tiptonville, Tenn.; three stepsons, Carl A. Boitnott and Robert Boitnott of Cape Girardeau and William J. Boitnott of Chaffee; one sister, Carol McCullough of Queen City, Texas; one grandchild, J. D. Mungle of Cape Girardeau; several stepgrandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Greg Jines; one daughter, Michelle Mungle; one brother, Stanley Mungle; and one sister, Virginia L. Long.

Visitaiton is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel. where service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday with Winston O. Williford Sr. officiating.

Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
