Diann Smith

SIKESTON -- Diann Smith, 57, passed away at 10:55 a.m. Nov. 19. 2008, at her home.

Born March 6, 1951, at Corning, Ark., to Esther Crutchfield Russell of Montgomery, Ala., and the late Arthur Russell, she had worked as a sales clerk and cashier at Helms Quick Sack and was of the Pentecostal faith.

On Oct. 25, 1968, at Essex, she entered into marriage with Bill Smith, and he survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two beloved sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Dana Smith and Christopher and Kristee Martin Smith of Sikeston; one brother, Terry Russell of Hazelwood; two sisters, Berniece Byes of Success, Ark., and Jerry Ann Richardson of Montgomery, Ala.; and seven beloved grandchildren, Christopher "Giz" Smith, Brittany Smith, Chelsea Smith, Patrick Smith, Aaron Smith, Ciara Smith and Breanna Smith, all of Sikeston.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Russell.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2008 at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, The Rev. Mike Tinnin, pastor of Spirit Life Ministries in Sikeston, will officiate.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2008 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Pallbearers will be: Christopher "Giz" Smith, Tyler Yeager, Terry Russell, Cory Russell, Faith Altamirano and Brad Patrick.
