MOREHOUSE -- Naomi Ruth Parr, 75, died Jan. 1, 2009, at her home.
Born Oct. 3, 1933, in Mississippi, to the late Rev. James O. and Pearl Bell Fitzpatrick Casey, she was of the Pentecostal belief.
On July 27, 1950, in Blytheville, Ark., she married Russell Parr who preceded her in death on June 1, 2002.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Terry Russell Parr and Kerry Lee Parr; three brothers; two sisters; and one grandson, Richard Lee Sterling Jr.
Survivors include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Glen Allen Helmes of Matthews and Sharon Sterling Rowell of Morehouse; two sons, Gary Parr and Tim Parr of Morehouse; two brothers, Lynn Casey of Puxico and Jim Casey of Sikeston; three sisters, Olga Griggs of Sikeston, Reba Haynes of the state of Arizona and Elizabeth McGeehee of East Prairie; and 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
