ST. LOUIS -- Virginia Mae Wilson Mansfield, 84, formerly of East Prairie, died at 7 a.m. Jan. 15, 2009, at her home.
Born July 1, 1924, in Mississippi County, to the late John and Ethel Neely Wilson, she lived in St. Louis for the past several years. She was of the Baptist belief.
In July 1939, she married Tommy Jefferson Mansfield who died Feb. 26, 1994.
Three sons, one grandson, four sisters and three brothers also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: four sons and one daughter-in-law, Chester and Carol Mansfield of Ferguson, Larry Mansfield and Terry Mansfield of St. Louis and Steven Mansfield of Arnold; four daughters and one son-in-law, Ann Mason of Tamaroa, Ill., and Pamela and Tom Brawley, Cheryl Mansfield and Charlotte Mansfield of St. Louis; one sister, Mary Williams of Matthews and 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Steve Johnson will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
