SIKESTON -- While progress is being made restoring power across the area it is also being made restoring basketball schedules.
The Sikeston Bulldogs have a slate full of games for the next few days as they will take on the Kelly Hawks tonight at 6 p.m., the Poplar Bluff Mules on Friday and have rescheduled a game that was missed from mid-December against Perryville on Monday. They have also rescheduled a game against Jackson on Saturday, Feb. 14.
The Sikeston Lady Bulldogs take on the Scott City Lady Rams tonight at 6 p.m. in Scott City.
The Dexter Bearcats will play at Advance on Friday and will begin the Stoddard County Conference tournament on Saturday against the Richland Rebels at 6 p.m. The semifinals will take place on Monday at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The championship game will be on Feb. 12 at 8:30 p.m.
The Dexter Lady Bearcats will take on the Kelly Lady Hawks tonight at Dexter High School at 6 p.m. They will continue on Monday, Jan. 9 when they will host the Notre Dame Lady Bulldogs.
The New Madrid County Central Eagles will be back in action after being out of commission for two weeks when they travel to Scott County Central and take on the Braves on Friday.
The NMCC Lady Eagles will not be playing their game against the Delta Lady Bobcats tonight and are still undecided when they will resume play.
After hosting Sikeston tonight, Kelly will travel to Delta on Friday while the Kelly Lady Hawks will reschedule a missed game with Cairo, Ill. on Friday night as well at Kelly High School. The Lady Hawks have also rescheduled a game with the Charleston Lady Bluejays for this Saturday.
The East Prairie Eagles and Lady Eagles will return to the court as they will host both of the Scott City Rams and Lady Rams in back-to-back varsity games on Friday. No junior varsity games will be played tomorrow night.
The Portageville Lady Bulldogs first game back will be tonight at Chaffee. Information about the boy's squad is still unknown.
Scott Central will host NMCC on Friday and may reschedule a game with the Chaffee Red Devils between now and their game with Sikeston on Wednesday.
The Risco Tigers may still play their game against the Richland Rebels on Friday. The Risco gymnasium is without power as of Wednesday night and if power is restored by Friday, they will play. If not, they may attempt to play the game at Richland High School.
In wrestling action, the Sikeston junior varsity wrestling tournament has been post-poned until further notice.
