Pullen wins mayor's race

SIKESTON -- Less than 20 votes decided the mayoral race in Sikeston, and a Miner ward race resulted in a tie during Tuesday's municipal election in Scott County.

Jerry Pullen narrowly defeated Mike Bohannon in Sikeston's race for mayor, 884 votes to 867 votes. Pullen received 796 Scott County votes and 88 New Madrid County votes while Bohannon garnered 810 Scott County votes and 57 New Madrid County votes.
