NEW MADRID -- Since she was little, Shari Padilla has been a cheerleader. But when Padilla graduates from New Madrid County Central on Tuesday, her cheerleading career won't be over. NEW MADRID -- Since she was little, Shari Padilla has been a cheerleader. But when Padilla graduates from New Madrid County Central on Tuesday, her cheerleading career won't be over.

Padilla recently tried out and made the cheerleading squad at Southeast Missouri State University where she will cheer on the Redhawks next season.

"I've been cheering all my life and it has always been a part me and who I am," Padilla said. "I just decided to give it one more year in college."
