SIKESTON -- Bankruptcy filings by General Motors and Chrysler do not look like they will have a negative effect on Sikeston, according to local car dealers. With Chrysler filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on April 30 and GM doing the same Monday, some are asking how recent purchases and warranties will be affected and if they will still be able to get products and services locally...

Bankruptcy filings won't have negative effect on local dealers

SIKESTON -- Bankruptcy filings by General Motors and Chrysler do not look like they will have a negative effect on Sikeston, according to local car dealers.

With Chrysler filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on April 30 and GM doing the same Monday, some are asking how recent purchases and warranties will be affected and if they will still be able to get products and services locally.
