Water safety important in summer

SIKESTON -- As summer continues to heat up, more people are looking to keep cool in swimming pools and other bodies of water.

Just as it's fun and relaxing, it can also be dangerous to swim or participate in other water activities. Just this past weekend a Dexter man drowned while trying to save a young girl who'd fallen in the water at Castor River near Zalma.
