SIKESTON -- Lance Young may have found his groove again.
After somewhat struggling in his previous few starts, Young pitched a gem on Friday night for the Sikeston Bulls by holding the visiting Marion Bobcats to just three hits through nine innings in a 1-0 shutout.
"The big thing for me that was key tonight was I threw strikes," Young said. "I got ahead and that's what it's going to take for me to be successful and that's what I did a lot tonight."
Young held out just long enough too. The Bulls, who always seem to make their home wins dramatic ones, pushed the winning run across in the bottom of the ninth inning on an RBI single from Blake Slattery.
