CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Joseph James "Tom" Hale, 76, formerly of Mississippi County, Mo., died at 6:06 a.m. Aug. 1, 2009, at his home.

Funeral arrangements are with the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, Mo.
