State funeral slated

CHARLESTON - Arrangements have been finalized for Wednesday's State Funeral in the Missouri Capitol for former Governor Warren Eastman Hearnes, who died Sunday night at age 86.

The body will lie in State in the Rotunda from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, with State Funeral Service with Military Honors at 2 p.m. in the Rotunda.

The body will then be returned to Governor Hearnes' southeast Missouri hometown of Charleston for a visitation from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, 301 South Main St.

The Charleston funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
