MURRAY, Utah -- The Babe Ruth World Series came to an end for the Sikeston 13-year-old All-Stars with an 18-2 loss to Kennewick, Wash., Tuesday afternoon.

Things started off poorly for Sikeston as the Missouri squad gave up five runs in top of the first inning.

Sikeston added two runs in the bottom of the second inning but six runs in the fourth and another seven in the fifth sealed the game for the Washington team.

Sikeston finished the World Series 0-4 in pool play and failed to qualify for the single elimination championship round.
