Perryvillescores 8 in fourth to beat SHS

PERRYVILLE -- The Sikeston Lady Bulldogs softball team got their 2009 campaign off to a rough start Tuesday, as they were defeated 14-4 by the Perryville Lady Pirates in Perryville.

Sikeston (0-1) was able to keep things close early, only trailing 5-2 after three innings of play. But the Lady Pirates (2-0) opened the floodgates in the fourth, outscoring the Lady Bulldogs 8-0 in the frame.
