JV Bulldogs advance to finals of tourney

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The Sikeston Bulldogs junior varsity soccer team is heading to the finals of the Cape junior varsity tournament for the first time in their program. An overtime victory in a penalty kick shootout by a final score of 5-4 in the session gave the Bulldogs the win over Notre Dame.

Coming into the season, Sikeston's JV had never defeated the blue Bulldogs, but Tuesday's win marks the second of the season.
