Soldiers will recreate Battle of Sand Ridge

SIKESTON -- Sikeston's rich history of the Civil War will come alive once again during the annual re-enactment of the Battle of Sand Ridge.

Set for March 6-7, the re-enactment of the battle, which is reported to be one of the first that took place near Sikeston during the Civil War, will take place on portions of the original battlefield.
