SIKESTON -- Sikeston voters will pick one of the city's two at-large Council members during Tuesday's election.
Running for the position are Mike Bohannon, the incumbent; and challenger David Carnell.
Both candidates are Sikeston Senior High School graduates: Bohannon in '76 and Carnell in '79.
Bohannon and his wife of 32 years, Kathy Eaker Bohannon, have two children: Charlie, 19, and Natalie, 17.
Carnell and his wife, Jennifer, have three children: Michael, 24, Chris, 21, and Hannah, 9.
Both of the men appearing on the ballot for this Council seat own businesses in Sikeston: Carnell's Collision Repair has been in Sikeston for 31 years; Bohannon has been a financial consultant for Raymond James Financial Services since 1992
The candidates also each have a record of community service.
