SIKESTON -- Classes officially begin Wednesday for students in the Sikeston R-6 School District, but many of their teachers have been preparing for the new school year all summer long.
"The teaching staff have been focusing on improving student learning and dealing with the ongoing challenges we have with the revenue reduction," Superintendent Steve Borgsmiller said.
