Moving wall

A sunny weekend enabled more Southeast Missouri residents to view the Moving Wall in Sikeston's Rotary Park. Visitors could sign a guest register and those seeking a specific name among the more than 58,000 listed along the Wall were assisted by the staff in finding the panel. Some of the visitors left flowers and other special remembrances for those who lost their lives in the Vietnam War. Several of those viewing the Wall made an imprint of a special name. A closing ceremony for the Moving Wall was conducted Sunday evening with the Wall's stay in Sikeston to end at 4 p.m. today.
