Cotton time

Bolls of cotton are appearing in area fields, so it must mean that Cotton Carnival time isn't far away. The 66th Annual Cotton Carnival will be from Sept. 28 through Oct. 2. Little Mr. and Miss Cotton Carnival will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 29; Junior Miss at 8 p.m. Sept. 30; Miss Cotton Carnival is scheduled for 30 minutes after parade on Oct. 2; and Miss Sikeston at 7 p.m. Oct. 2. Information on the Cotton Carnival contests, along with entry forms, parade and parade line-up can be found on the website www.sikestonamericanlegion.com.
