Todd Kennard works a suction tube to collect leaves from residences along Hardin Street as Freddie Dunkin rakes. Sikeston Department of Public Works employees are beginning the second week of their efforts to remove leaves. Sikeston residents who take advantage of the city's leaf collection program should place leaves on the back of the curb - not in the gutter line or on the street, and no further than four feet in the yard. More information about the program, the areas and the dates for the leaf collection can be found on the city's website, sikeston.org.
