BELL CITY -- The Dexter Bearcats stopped their two-game losing skid in a big way on Tuesday, thumping the Bell City Cubs 80-36. Dexter (13-9) jumped out to a 25-8 lead in the first quarter thanks to 11 points from junior Tyler Miller and were never challenged the rest of the way...

BELL CITY -- The Dexter Bearcats stopped their two-game losing skid in a big way on Tuesday, thumping the Bell City Cubs 80-36.

Dexter (13-9) jumped out to a 25-8 lead in the first quarter thanks to 11 points from junior Tyler Miller and were never challenged the rest of the way.

Alan Flannigan led the Bearcats with 18 points while Miller finished with 14. Logan Robey and Jake Lee each added 10 points apiece.

CHAFFEE -- The Chaffee Red Devils fell to 11-9 on the season with a 71-67 loss in overtime to Zalma. Chaffee led 51-47 entering the final quarter but near the end of regulation the Bulldogs had grabbed a 65-62 lead. Michael Rutherford then hit a 3-pointer with 20 seconds left in regulation to tie the game for Chaffee.

Zalma then outscored the Red Devils 6-2 in overtime for the win.

Alex Davie scored 23 to pace Chaffee while Alex Crowe added 17 and Jordan Yahn 14.

BLOOMFIELD -- Oran won its third-straight game on Tuesday night, defeating Bloomfield 67-54 on the road.

The Eagles had four score in double figures in the game as Oran used a strong second quarter to outscore the Wildcats 15-4, taking control of the game at halftime 33-19.

Helped by their balanced scoring, the Eagles then put the game out of reach in the third, outscoring Bloomfield 21-14.

Jon Morrow led Oran (14-6) with 17 points while Kody Moore added 15. Nathan Michelsen and Reece Mangels scored 14 and 10 points respectively.

CHARLESTON -- The Charleston Lady Bluejays ended the Chaffee Lady Devils three-game winning streak on Tuesday with a 64-29 win at Charleston High School.

Kasuela Cooper led the Lady Bluejays (9-8) with 17 points while Eneikqua Ewing added 15. Taylor Duenne and Gabrielle Quinn also chipped in 12 and 10 points respectively.

Chaffee (3-12) was led by Ellie Sigman who scored a team-high nine points.
