SPRINGFIELD -- Three players from both Charleston and Oran have been named to the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association all-state team after helping their respective teams to the final four.

CLASS 1

Oran's Dalton Elfrink and Tyler Heuring were both named to the Class 1 first team after the Eagles' third place finish. Elfrink, a junior, made the team as an infielder after batting .338 with two home runs, 37 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He was also 8-0 as a pitcher with a 3.02 ERA, striking out 65 and walking 42 in 62 2/3 innings.

Heuring, a senior, made the team as an outfielder after hitting .453 with six home runs, 40 RBIs and 39 runs scored.

Sophomore Kody Moore was named to the second team as a utility player. Moore batted .470 with 29 RBIs, 15 doubles and five home runs. He was also 5-2 on the mound with a 3.43 ERA in 40 2/3 innings, striking out 40 and walking only 16.

CLASS 2

Charleston's James Naile was named to the first team in Class 2 after leading the Bluejays to their first final four appearance. Naile finished the season with a 11-2 mark, compiling a miniscule 1.35 ERA. In 77 2/3 innings the senior only walked 13 batters while striking out 122. He also batted .458 with 11 doubles, three triples, three home runs and 32 RBIs while stealing 11 bases as well.

Fellow seniors Marshall Stallings and Ethan Browning were honored as well with Stallings named a second team infielder and Browning an honorable mention utility player.

Stallings hit .417 from the leadoff spot for the Bluejays with 20 RBIs and 13 stolen bases. Browning batted .414 with 32 RBIs, 11 doubles and two home runs.

Chaffee freshman Cody Payne was also an all-state honorable mention as a catcher. Payne hit .432 with 18 RBIs and 10 doubles while helping the Red Devils to a district title game appearance.

CLASS 3

Scott City sophomore Brett Dirnberger was named to the Class 3 second team as a utility player. Dirnberger put together an outstanding season, hitting .515 with 30 RBIs, 12 doubles, two triples, three home runs and 11 stolen bases.
