A day in the park

Work began this week to extend the walking path from the Sikeston Sports Complex to the Veterans Park. Robert Lewis with Drivestone Brick Paving works the excavator as Emory McCauley with Waters Engineering checks the dirt. The project is one of three under way at the Sports Complex. Workers completed repaving a parking lot on Tuesday next to the Babe Ruth and softball fields. A new parking lot is planned just east of the Complex lake.
