DEXTER -- The visiting Sikeston Bulldogs piled up 558 yards of offense on their way to a 57-30 victory over state-ranked Dexter on Friday night.

Sikeston senior running back James Watson rushed for 328 yards on 25 carries with a pair of touchdowns, setting a new school single-game rushing record.

He eclipsed the old mark of 318, set by Justin Robinson in 1999.

Sikeston (2-1), which had 486 yards rushing in the game, led 22-14 at the half. The Bearcats tied the game at 22-22 to start the third quarter, but Sikeston took control from there, scoring 28 straight points to defeat Dexter for the fourth straight year.
