Local residents ready to 'Thrill the World' again

SIKESTON -- Trick or treaters may still be deciding which day to do their rounds but those planning on thrilling the world have a firm schedule -- down to the minute.

"This year it is Oct. 29, which is a Saturday," said Kris Greene, event manager for Thrill the World in Sikeston. "Usually it's the weekend before Halloween but this time they thought they'd do it the weekend of Halloween. We're calling it 'Thrilloween.'"

Thrill the World is an annual worldwide simultaneous dance of the late Michael Jackson's "Thriller," according to Green.
