Three arrested for stealing copper wire

BENTON -- Three Benton men were arrested in connection to several thousand dollars' worth of copper wire being stolen from a Scott County farmer.

Mathew Bristow, 26, Jeffrey Bunch Jr., 23, and Michael Gunter, 20, were arrested after a short car chase Thursday night, according to a Scott County Sheriff's Department news release. The three men are allegedly linked to the theft of copper wires from an irrigation center pivot, according to the release.
