SIKESTON -- Donnie Gene Walls, 74, of Sikeston, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, at his residence.
Born Jan. 23, 1937, in Scotland, Ark., to the late Huse and Mary Rhoades Walls, he was a truck driver and small engine mechanic and a member of the Teamsters Union for many years.
On July 27, 1973, in Union City, Tenn., he married Jane Ann Walls who preceded him death on Aug. 13, 2001.
Also preceding him in death were one brother, Billy Walls, and three grandchildren.
Survivors include: a special friend, Sue Little of Sikeston; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Susan Walls of Wingo, Ky.; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Walls and Rick Huff of Benton; one brother, Junior Walls of Fresno, Calif., one sister, Mary Alice DeRooi of Visalia, Calif., and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dale Huff, former pastor of Unity Baptist Church of Benton, officiating.
Burial with follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Larry Spencer, Donnie Barnes, Darryl Barnes, William Rasberry, Keith Brown and Teddy Barnes.
