Gun charges bring prison sentence

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- A Scott County man was sentenced on gun charges Tuesday in Cape Girardeau.

Jerry L. Daniels, 42, of Oran was sentenced to 188 months, or nearly 16 years, on one felony count of being a previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm, according to the U.S. States Attorney's office.
