DEXTER -- Edgar Solen Kinser, 85, died Nov. 22, 2011, at his home in Dexter.

Born May 9, 1926, son of the late Charles Jefferson Kinser and Dovie May Forkum Kinser, he attended the Lighthouse Christian Center at Dexter, was the owner of Kinser Jewelry in Bloomfield for 50 years and a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II.

His wife, Alma Lee Pritchett, preceded him in death on Nov. 26, 1997.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Rick Glen and Pamela Kay Kinser of Dexter; one daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Bob Arnold of Dexter; one sister, Louise Jones of Dexter; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Henry Watson, Chester Watson, Lester Kinser, Leroy Kinser and Charlie Kinser; and two sisters, Lowetta McCrary and Thelma Gaines.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Tim Russell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery.
