BENTON -- Walter S. Anielak, 95, died Nov. 21, 2011, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Born March 1, 1916, in St. Louis, to the late Frank and Anna Mlynarczyk Anielak, he grew up in Washington County, Ill., and attended St. Michael Catholic Church and school in Radom, Ill. He was a member of Local 36, Sheet Metal Workers International Association for 63 years.
On Jan. 13, 1938, in St. Louis, he married Rose Drozkowska and she preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Eugene K. Anielak; a grandson, a great-granddaughter, six brothers and seven sisters.
He is survived by: a son, Mel Anielak of Benton; a daughter, Arlene Husemann of Creve Coeur; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Visitation is from 8:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton with the Rev. Michael Casteel serving as Celebrant.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
