Thanksgiving prep

Workers are busy preparing for the Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner scheduled for Thursday at the VFW Hall on Smith Street. Marlene Stevens scoops up a batch of steaming cornbread which will be made up into dressing. Meals will be delivered beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday with serving to begin at noon at the VFW Hall. The free Thanksgiving meal is primarily geared to senior citizens, according to organizers. Those who need a meal delivered should call Linda Bollinger at 382-3679 on Wednesday or before 11 a.m. Thursday.
