SIKESTON -- Maurice Wright, 42, died Jan. 14, 2012, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born May 28, 1969, in Chicago, to the late Jimmie Lee Pollard, he was employed in the maintenance department at Hardee's Restaurant in Sikeston. He was a member of St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church of Sikeston, and had been an active member of the Boy Scouts. He was an only child, but his many friends made up his family.
Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Friday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, with the Rev. Herman Gardner, pastor of Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church of Sikeston, officiating.
Pallbearers will be: Steven Davis, Rocky Williams Sr., Tyler Morrison, Michael Ward, Brent Nance and Jeff Hubbard.
Honorary pallbearers will be: the Rev. Herman Gardner, Danny Graham, Ronnie Green, Henry Gross, Mike Harris, Vince Longstreet, William Thomas Merrick and Henry Marshall.
