CHAFFEE -- The Delta Lady Bobcats got a combined 33 points from junior Machela VanGennip and senior Tori Burton and held off the Chaffee Lady Devils 41-35 on Thursday.
Burton scored 18 points and VanGennip had 15 as Delta (8-6) used a 15-4 second quarter to build an 11-point halftime lead 25-14 that they would not relinquish.
Chaffee (4-12) got 13 points from Jordan Pruitt to lead the Lady Devils while Taylor Fodge and Ellie Sigman each pulled down seven rebounds.

BENTON -- The Kelly Lady Hawks used a strong second half to defeat Campbell on Thursday night, 46-22.
With an 18-10 lead at the half, Kelly went on to outscore Campbell 28-12 in the second half to pull away. The Lady Hawks (5-9) led 34-18 after three quarters of play.
Both Bridgette Chandler and Tessa Johnson led Kelly with 13 points apiece.

JACKSON -- Down by seven points entering the fourth quarter, the Scott City Lady Rams posted 18 fourth quarter points to edge out a 44-37 win over the Saxony Lutheran Lady Crusaders on Thursday night.
Saxony held a 33-26 lead after three quarter of play. While scoring 18 points in the fourth, Scott City (10-7) held Saxony to a mere four to pull out the win.
Scott City's Katie Hogan and Andrea Gray each scored 10 points.

SENATH -- The Portageville Lady Bulldogs dropped a close Bootheel Conference game to Senath-Hornersville 62-57 on the road Thursday night.
Portageville falls to 6-10 with the loss and will take on Delta in the Coaches v. Cancer Shootout at Charleston on Saturday. No further information from Thursday night's game was available at press time.
JACKSON -- The Sikeston boys basketball team will play for third place of the Jackson Freshman Basketball Tournament after falling to Notre Dame in the semifinals 50-36 on Thursday night.
Notre Dame led 11-7 after one quarter and 30-20 at the half and continued to build on their lead in the second half.
Zack Jackson led Sikeston with 13 points while Corbyn Blissett finished with 8.
Sikeston will play in the third place game on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
