NEW MADRID - Alice Marie Myers, 92, died Jan. 27, 2012, at the Golden Age Living Center in New Madrid.

Born Jan. 11, 1920, in Marston, the daughter of the late Raymond W. and Alice Hodges Nelson, she was raised in Marston where she attended the Marston School. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church at New Madrid.

In 1938, at the St. Eustachius Church in Portageville, she married William A. Myers, who preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1963.

Also three sisters, four brothers and one grandson preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald H. and Barbara Myers of Birmingham, Ala., and William D. and Harriette Myers of New Madrid; one daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Howard E. Crisler of New Madrid; two sisters, Betty Nelson Smith of New Madrid and Mary Chambliss Charlton of Dexter; and 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. today at the Immaculate Conception Church with the most Rev. Jarek Skrzypek officiating.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery under the direction of Richards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Terry McCrate, John McCrate, Hal Myers II, Kevin Crisler, Shannon Myers, Robert Zeller, Richard Fox and Barry Karafa.
