ENERGY, Ill. -- Janice Ann Laster Johnson, 57, formerly of Wyatt, Mo., died Feb. 3, 2012, at her home.

Born Nov. 7, 1954, in Mississippi County, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Curtis Laster and Yvonne Nolen Laster Fisher. Following her graduation from Charleston High School in 1973, she moved to Southern Illinois where she had been employed as a certified nurse's aide. She was of the Baptist belief.

On Aug. 6, 1977, she married Billy Joe Johnson who survives of the home.

Also surviving are: one son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Michelle Johnson of Energy; four sisters, Brenda Baker of Bertrand, Mo., Candrice McEntire of East Prairie, Mo., Tiffany Fisher of Doniphan, Mo., and Paula Russell of Matthews, Mo.; her stepfather, Graham Fisher of Wyatt; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Allen Laster.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Cody Aldrich, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bertrand, will officiate.
