Students at the Sikeston Head Start know just what to do during an earthquake and practiced the drill during Tuesday's Great Central U.S. ShakeOut. When the alert sounded the 3 to 5-year-old students in Teletia Atkins and Keisha Williams' class dropped to the ground, got under the cover of their classroom tables and held on. Some 390,000 Missourians took part in the drill, which was conducted on the 200th anniversary of the largest earthquake in the state's history. The Great New Madrid Earthquake which occurred on Feb. 7, 1812, devastated much of southeast Missouri and was felt as far away as the East Coast.
